The Client

Northtac is an ecommerce brand serving the shooting-sports community with precision optics and accessories. Its customers are practiced, particular, and deeply informed; they research thoroughly, compare closely, and buy from brands they trust. Northtac has earned its place among them by engineering products that hold up on the range.

In a category where credibility decides the sale, Northtac set us one mandate: build growth on earned trust. That meant designing and managing a complete influencer and affiliate program on roughly $50k per month: recruiting the right voices, holding every piece of partner content to brand-aligned standards, and tracking each partnership with the discipline of a performance channel. The program grew into a durable network of 200+ affiliates and 12 influencer partners, managed as one system.

The Challenge

Credibility Is the Category

Shooting-sports buyers extend trust carefully. They know their equipment, they know each other, and they can tell a genuine recommendation from a paid placement within seconds. For Northtac, that reality cut both ways. The most persuasive voices in the category are individual practitioners, but recruiting them at scale invites two failure modes: content that drifts off brand and spend that cannot be traced to revenue. The brief demanded both breadth and control, a network large enough to matter, held to standards tight enough to protect the brand, on a budget of roughly $50k a month that had to answer for every dollar.

The Approach

A Network Run Like a Channel

We treated earned trust as infrastructure. Recruitment came first: we identified and signed partners whose audiences genuinely overlapped with Northtac's buyers, building the roster to 200+ affiliates and 12 influencer partners. Every partner operated under brand-aligned content standards, so each post stayed authentic to its creator and true to the brand. Underneath it all sat measurement: every partner tracked individually, every dollar of the roughly $50k monthly budget accounted for, so we could concentrate resources on the relationships producing revenue.

The Results

Earned Trust, Measured Returns

The proof arrived first in the content itself. Partner posts earned engagement rates of 8-12%, the response of audiences hearing from voices they already believed. That belief carried through to purchase. Across 200+ affiliates and 12 influencer partners, the program returned a consistent 5x ROI on a budget of roughly $50k per month. Consistency is the point: the return held as the network grew, because every relationship was individually tracked, individually managed, and individually accountable. Trust, recruited carefully and measured honestly, behaved like a performance channel.
