Segment
One clean event stream from every source, routed to every tool you run on.
Segment is a customer data platform that collects behavioral and identity events from your web, mobile, and server sources through a single API, then unifies them into consistent user and account profiles. From one implementation it routes governed, real-time data to hundreds of downstream destinations — ad platforms, analytics, warehouses, and messaging tools — while its Protocols and Profiles layers enforce a tracking schema and resolve identity across devices.
We treat Segment as the source-of-truth event layer for the whole growth stack. We design a tracking plan first — naming conventions, event taxonomy, required properties — then implement it with Analytics.js, mobile SDKs, and server-side libraries so the same events fire consistently everywhere. Protocols validates every payload against that plan, so downstream data stays trustworthy instead of drifting as teams ship. We wire identity resolution and Segment Profiles so anonymous and known activity collapse into one user, and we stream everything to the warehouse for modeling.
From that clean spine we fan out to the tools that actually move numbers: Conversions API and CAPI-style server destinations for durable ad signal, product analytics, lifecycle platforms, and reverse-ETL audiences. We build Segment Functions and use Reverse ETL to push warehouse-computed traits and audiences back into Segment, so an LTV score or churn-risk flag modeled in the warehouse becomes a targetable trait in every activation channel without a separate integration per tool.
We move conversion events server-side through Segment to ad-platform Conversions APIs, sending hashed identifiers and richer event context. This restores match rates and attribution that browser pixels lose to cookie and consent changes, improving optimization for paid media.
For clients with web, mobile, and backend events feeding conflicting tools, we build a governed Segment tracking plan and enforce it with Protocols. Every product-analytics, warehouse, and lifecycle destination then reads the same clean, validated events.
We model LTV, propensity, and churn scores in the warehouse, sync them back through Reverse ETL as Segment traits, and build audiences that activate into ads and lifecycle messaging — turning analytics into targeting without per-tool plumbing.
No. Segment sits upstream of them. We map your current tools as destinations, so existing analytics, ad, and messaging platforms keep receiving data — now from one governed source instead of many hand-placed tags.
We define a tracking plan and enforce it with Segment Protocols, which validates every incoming event against the schema. Violations get flagged or blocked, so naming and property drift never silently pollutes your downstream tools.
Yes. Segment streams events to activation destinations in real time while also loading the same data into your warehouse, and Reverse ETL brings modeled traits back for activation — one pipeline serving both operational and analytical needs.
